PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT

SANDBAG LOCATIONS & SENIOR ASSISTANCE

Loose sand and sandbags have been pre‑positioned at several locations for residents who need them:
  • Arrey Meal Site (loose sand), 
  • Baquera’s Grocery (sandbags),
  • Sierra County Fairgrounds (loose sand and sandbags),
  • Sierra County Administration (sandbags), and
  • Bartoo Sand & Gravel (loose sand and sandbags).
The loose sand was donated by Jarred Bartoo, and additional sandbags are available if needed. Senior residents who require help filling or placing sandbags may request assistance through a coordinated effort with the Hot Springs High School football team, arranged by Coach Mateo Brown. Location: Date Street to Cedar Street on 9th; plan for 7 AM closure and reopening by 5 PM

Reason: Shovel Ready Infrastructure Project

Reason: WSPI-1 Water Project; crane work for installing vault lids
